Turkey Hunts
Spring Gobbler hunting at Rock Island Creek Whitetails is as good as it gets. You pick….exclusive use of 600 acres or hunt with a professional guide and access as much as 10,000 acres. Our property offers everything turkeys need to thrive: food to attract and hold, ample water, and cover for hens to nest. Mature gobblers in Virginia range well over 20 pounds and many have 11+ inch bears and 1 ¼”+ spurs. Our birds are vocal. If you are looking for exciting, intense gobbler hunts our toms will not let you down.
Exclusive use hunts:
Any hunter purchasing a semi guided exclusive use hunt will be given 600 acres to hunt for a period of one week or the full season. The hunter will be shown the property and the boundary lines before the hunter’s time frame starts. The hunter’s guide will give pointers as to where the gobblers normally roost and where their strut zones are located. The hunter can fill all three of their gobbler tags on this hunt. The hunter will have a private room in our lodge. On these hunts the hunter will be responsible for his own meals.
Guided hunts:
On guided hunts each hunter will have professional guide with them all day long. Our guides have access to as much as 10,000 acres. Our guides do as much or as little as you request. Our guides can locate, call, film, and even carry your gun. You will have a wonderful experience with our guides. Additionally, we offer a one day, bad weather, rain check. If wind or rain prevents hunting on any hunting day, we will add one hunting day to the end of the trip free of charge. Each hunter will have a private room in our lodge. Each hunter will be responsible for his own meals.
